Monitoring the systems and services is a day to day task of System Administrators. An improperly monitored system can incur huge loss to the company if the downtime is not detected on time. Maintaining the uptime of the systems and services is as critical as any other function of the business. The System Administrators have to ensure that they have all the tools in place to monitor the systems and services.

This is exactly where InfrasterNOC comes into action. We have a state of the art NOC designed keeping in mind the above requirement.

Processes we follow:
  1. InfrasterNOC has a Monitoring System in place to monitor servers and services.
  2. The monitoring system sends alerts in form of emails and SMS to all the NOC staff whenever any server or service is down.
  3. Whenever there is any alert received, the NOC staff takes immediate action and tries to resolve it even before the customer calls.
  4. The customer is notified via phone and SMS whenever there is any issue with his server.
  5. InfrasterNOC also monitors the Phone System to ensure that none of the customer calls is missed. Even if any call is missed, we receive an email with the customer's number and a staff member calls the customer.
Services we monitor
InfrasterNOC monitors up to 5 or more services of a customer's server depending upon the plan opted by a particular customer. We generally monitor the following services.

  1. Server availability via ping.
  2. Services like SMTP, HTTP, etc via SNMP.
  3. Hard Drive usage via SNMP.
  4. RBL checks to ensure the server IPs are not blocked in common RBL and if blacklisted, we alert the customer to get it delisted.
Escalation
All the InfrasterNOC staff is alerted via emails and SMS in case of any service or server is down. The staff makes sure that necessary action is taken or the customer is alerted in case of any service or server downtime. In case of servers managed by us, the staff immediately takes actions to restore the services or the server. We have an escalation procedure followed in case the service or server does not get restored within a specific time frame. The customer is kept updated accordingly via phone calls and SMS.

Network Availability
In order to ensure network availability for the monitoring systems, we have multiple providers to provide connectivity in our premises. We also have monitoring system running in another geographic location to ensure that the Monitoring system is always live.

People Availability
InfrasterNOC is staffed with people available 24/7/365. We always ensure complete peace of mind to customers as far as monitoring their systems is concerned. We have adequate staff to take care of emergencies and system in place to ensure that adequate staff is always available in the NOC.
